Justa Maybe Hockey: A Chinese Coaching Journey

Have you ever wanted to drop everything and move halfway around the world to a place where you cannot speak the language? Well, twenty years ago, within the span of two weeks, I had left my job as a college hockey coach and traveled to Harbin, China to become the head coach of the Chinese women's national team for a year. I had never been outside of North America, I did not know any Chinese and I had no idea where Harbin was on a map. What follows is the journal of my travels and adventures over the course of seven months living with, coaching and traveling with the Chinese Women's National Hockey Team, complete with photos, anecdotes, language lessons and "Justa Maybe" some hockey.
